A tiger shark dive in Fuvahmulah costs $100. Reef and wall dives run $70–85 depending on how many you do. A full dive-and-stay week — including your domestic flights from Malé, hotel, transfers and 15 dives — lands between $1,830 and $2,655 per person, depending on your hotel and group size.

What single dives cost

If you're building your trip dive by dive, this is the structure:

The Tiger Dive — $100. This is the encounter that put Fuvahmulah on the map: a 6–8m sandy plateau at Tiger Harbour, a 30–45 minute encounter, and tiger sharks on effectively every dive, year-round. One tiger dive is included in every dive day on our packages.

Reef, channel and wall dives — $70–85. Tank and weights included, always guided. The per-dive price drops the more you dive: $85 for your first three, $80 from the fourth dive, $75 past ten, $70 past fifteen. Fuvahmulah rewards staying longer — so does our pricing.

Freediving with tiger sharks — $150. Same site, same strict safety protocol, on one breath. For experienced freedivers only.

Special expeditions sit outside the standard schedule: the open-ocean Longimanus expedition ($300), and trips to Addu ($250) and Huvadhoo ($320) when conditions and demand line up.

What packages cost — and what's actually inside them

Most of our guests book a dive & stay package, for one simple reason: it includes almost everything, including the part most people forget to budget — your domestic flights.

Every Liquid package includes: return MLE↔FVM flights, airport and boat transfers, your hotel (with breakfast), three dives a day (one tiger dive + two other sites), and fins, mask and wetsuit.

The range depends on two things: your hotel (four partner hotels, from cozy guesthouse to the island's most comfortable stay — compare them here) and your group size — solo travellers pay the top of the range, two people travelling together (Buddy) pay less per person, and groups of three (Pack) get the best rate.

Do the math and it's hard to beat: on a Liquid Seven, you're getting 15 dives, 7 nights, flights and transfers. Booked separately, the flights and hotel alone would eat most of that budget. Full details on the packages page.

Tips for the crew are never expected, always appreciated. Meals outside breakfast are refreshingly cheap on a local island — think $5–10 for a very good tuna curry, not resort prices.

Why we price the way we price

Here's the part most price pages won't tell you.

You can find cheaper tiger diving in Fuvahmulah. You genuinely can. And we think it's important you understand what the difference in price buys — because it's not a logo.

When you dive with us, you're paying for:

Small groups, real encounters. We don't fill boats. We cap group sizes so that your tiger dive is your tiger dive — not a crowd of twenty divers kneeling shoulder to shoulder. Fewer people in the water means calmer sharks, better encounters, better photographs, and more eyes on each diver.

Safety that's actually staffed. Our guide-to-guest ratio on shark dives is 1:3, maximum. Dedicated safety divers are in the water on every tiger dive doing the invisible work — watching the shark behind you, the current, the diver whose breathing just changed. That's payroll, training and experience. It's the most expensive thing we do, and the last thing we'd ever cut.

People who know these sharks. Our team reads individual animals — who's bold today, who's circling differently. That knowledge takes thousands of dives to build, and it's the difference between an incident statistic and a story you'll tell for the rest of your life.

Equipment and boats that are maintained like lives depend on them. Because they do.

Do I need to pay everything upfront? No. A deposit secures your dates and package; we'll walk you through the balance schedule when you book. Many guests book early precisely so they can spread payments.

Is diving in Fuvahmulah cheaper than a Maldives liveaboard? Usually, yes — often by a lot, once you count the liveaboard's flights, port fees, gear rental and mandatory extras. And no liveaboard gives you tiger sharks every single day.

Are there hidden costs? No. The Maldives green tax and service charges are handled transparently in your quote. What we quote is what you pay.
